Realme 5 gets September patch and other new features: RMX1911EX_11_A.14




The Realme 5 is getting a new software update with build number RMX1911EX_11_A.14. It is based on Android 9.0 Pie.  With this update, Google’s digital wellbeing will integrate with the Realme 5. Also, the new software comes with the September 2019 security patch.

The RMX1911EX_11_A.14 update also adds the date and weather widget to the launcher. It also optimizes the lock screen clock widget. The device’s smart assistance feature is also getting some tweaks.

Post the new update, Realme 5 users can manually lock the device by long-pressing the power button. A user can also manually limit the speed of the active devices connected via Hotspot. Also, the user can view the amount of data consumed by the connected devices. It also enables you to set a reminder and notify the user after he spends a particular amount of internet data.

The latest RMX1911EX_11_A.14 update also brings a revamped Notification Center. Users can now swipe left or right to remove a new text message prompt.

Realme mentions on their forum that this update is a staged rollout. Initially, only a few users will get it. Once it is confirmed that the update brings no glitches or bugs the OEM will seed the software to other users globally. In the meanwhile, you can try to manually download the update from your device Settings > System Updates.

It is a bigger update so downloading the update via Wi-Fi is advisable. Also, make sure that your phone has a battery of 40% or more while you download and install the new RMX1911EX_11_A.14 update.



Realme has been pushing software updates for most of its devices this month. Recently, the new phones Realme X2, Realme XT and Realme 5 have received the September 2019 security patch. Other devices like the Realme 3 and 3i have also been officially updated to the September security patch along with other system optimizations.
