However, note that this update or feature is rolled out with the latest Android beta update and it will take some time to officially arrive publicly for its users. Besides, the fingerprint feature is on the testing stage and will make its way to a stable release.

You can also choose the time interval to activate the fingerprint lock on your device.   1. You need to download the latest WhatsApp v 2.19.221 from third-party source APKmirror.
  2. Note that you need to have a fingerprint scanner on your smartphone.
  3. To activate this feature go to Settings>>Account>>Privacy>>Fingerprint Lock.
  4. If this feature is still not working on your device then, make sure to back up your chat history and reinstall the application.
